oh, my, god, i am home...
well, the car wasn't near as immaculate as stated, but however runs like a fucking champ. many issues with the car, but not with the engine, lots of aesthetics. overall, i would say i wouldnt do it again, but the plus side to this was the road trip and a learning lesson (don't trust anyone, PERIOD). i got to see a lot of things, i had seen before and hadnt. i also feel glad that i got my dad to see a lot of things he had never seen before, even more than i. i had never been to oklahoma, or texas before. i got to see the oklahoma city bombing memorial, and eat at the "only" vegetarian restaurant in denver, which was AMAZING. easily the best food i had ever had, called "the watercourse." colorado ranks #1 as the most beautiful state i have seen, i have now seen 40ish states. we camped in estes park in co, don't do that, not even in late may. it got to 20 degrees at night and i had the shittiest sleeping bag possible. the night before that we slept in salina, kansas, and i didnt have a mattress, so it was sleeping bag on tent floor. i basically woke up rigor mortis. my dad insisted on waking me up at 6:30 every morning, 7:30 if i was lucky. we didn't get in too many fights, but insisted on getting philosophical and reading edgar cayce to me. i finally told him after seemingly extra long minutes of tolerance, "i'm not interested" which provoked the fucking devil to come out. besides much bickering it was a-okay. i wish someone else went with me, someone with better musical selection and a little less to say. i would've been a "happy camper." oh gee golly headache.
