I got a job.
Today was so weird, really.
Last night I made it to bed probably around 3:00 AM and fell asleep closer to 4. I woke up this morning at 7:30 AM with my phone going off in my ear. The person on the other line was my boss from Pacfield, D_____. She said one of their inspectors who runs a similar business needed an office manager type. I drug my sick butt out of bed, fixed up a resume, and emailed it over.
I got a call from V____ asking me to come in and interview at 2 PM, so I scrambled around to get my resume printed and something nice to wear. The office is out of her house in Rocklin, so it was seriously about a 15 minute trip from my house up the freeway. We chatted for about thirty minutes, not even a real interview by conventional standards. I got the job, and I start tomorrow.
My new boss is super cool and is willing to work with my school schedule. There's plenty of opportunity for flexible hours and working from home once she has a grasp of how I work. I'm still super surprised because I really didn't do anything to make this happen other than send my resume and show up for the interview. I think it was some pretty timely good luck.
Other than that, the rest of my day was spent resting and trying to feel better. This sinus infection was kicking my butt, but thankfully I seem to be getting over it quickly. Hopefully a solid night of sleep will smack it down.
