I'm in a "noveling" mood right now. So I've decided to write this blog in third person, essentially creating a miniature novel of sorts.
There's nothing like sitting at the end of the day, looking back on a day which itself was not the best, and feeling so good about it. There's nothing like sitting, listening to an entire band and orchestra play the ending theme from Apollo 13 while looking back on your day. And there is nothing like pretending to be the director of the band and orchestra playing the ending theme from Apollo 13. Nothing in the world is like this.
Well, to avoid any confusion, why don't we go back; back to the beginning of the day, this strange day: this day that should not have had Jordan Gerecke in such a nice mood.
Jordan Gerecke woke up on what seemed to be a very ordinary day. But this day was unlike most other days in his life, where time just seemed to pass by, and before he could blink, he had gone through the day, without savoring even one moment. No, though he had not realised it 'til the end of the day, he had, without trying, savored almost the entire day, and let almost no moment go to waste.
After Jordan had woken up, he got onto his computer for a while. He was glad to see that one of his favorite webcomics, ctrl-alt-del had a new comic up. After he read the comic he decided to check out some trailers for the game Prototype, to see what all the hype has been about. He then understood why everyone had been so crazy about this game. Everything looked really good; the graphics were nothing to sneeze at, the gameplay itself seems VERY well done, and from what I got out of the story, its very creative, and well put together.
But, we should really be getting back to the story.
After Jordan was done watching trailers for video games, and was done with his computer, he decided it was time to start filling out his applications for scholarships. It was a long, and monotonous task, but it had to be done. Once Jordan was done printing everything out, and getting it into his file about 3 or 4 hours later, he realised that all of these scholarship applications were due on June 12, almost 2 whole weeks prior to this date. Needless to say he was quite frustrated with how the day had gone thus far.
Fortunately Ryann, Morgan, and Felicia had saved him from his day, by inviting him to come visit his friend Courtney. Being with friends was a very welcome idea to Jordan. He thought "maybe this will make my day better." After a while of hanging out with his friends, eating baby food, and talking about tasting moss, he was feeling much better about the day.
He came back home, and immediately was sent to go play basketball (one of his least favorite sports) with his father, sister, and his sister's boyfriend. When they arrived, there was already a man and a child playing on the court. They shot a few hoops, and eventually got a real game going. Though Jordan enjoys basketball much less than many other sports, it is very hard to stay frustrated while one is concentrating on winning a game. So in the end, this too helped his day go a little bit better.
He returned home to find Star Trek playing on the TV. This was also a pretty welcome thing into Jordan's day. Jordan always enjoyed watching Star Trek, so he was very happy with it. After Star Trek was over Jordan's family began talking about one another's dreams, and how completely strange they were. And after this Jordan and his sister decided to make some tuna sandwiches. Soon after they went into Jordan's sister's room to watch what his sister had recently purchased at WalMart: Spongebob Squarepants, Season 1.
After a few episodes, Jordan began feeling tired, and went to his room to listen to some music. He went to youtube, and started listening to the ending theme from Apollo 13. And this is where we first picked up.
