Och, my mom is so strange sometimes. So I tell her what's been going on as far as my communicating with my dad's family, etc., and for once in her my life she doesn't yell and go off on a ranting tangent.
[ I hadn't told her what was going on since the phone calls started. And on top of it my Grandpa is going to be arriving here by next Friday. ;x ]
Who are you and what have you done to my real mother?
See, in reality. My dad's family is very wealthy. Meanwhile, I tend to be a poor assed mofo living with her white boy brother. So out of nowhere they start asking me what I want and that they're bringing blah, blah, blah gifts when Abu Ramzi comes in.
... I've never really been ever given the opprotunity to be asked what I want and actually get it. The things I've really wanted I've had to practically beg for or work my ass off to do it myself.
Picture a little arab girl about 7 1/2 speaking in vague english ;x
My cousin over the phone: " Rasmiah, my mother wants to know what you want for her to bring to you when you grandfather goes to America. "
Now, I'm horrible at making shopping decisions. Especially when at the mercy of someone else and their money.
Me: "... Ummm... I don't know? You don't have to give me anything. :D? "
Her: " Is okay Rasmiah! We get you anything you want. "
Me:" Uh...... - Draws huuuge blank, silence ensues. - "
Her: " Rasmiah! Don't be scared!"
Me: " Scared? I'm not scared @_@ "
Her: " What you want? "
Me: " I don't know what I want T_T... ; ".
Yeah it went on like that for a couple of minutes before they drilled me for my favorite colors and whatnot. Remember, these people can hardly speak english so it's a trip trying to communicate. :\ I really need to learn to speak Arabic.
Anywho, I'm going to go read the TN message boards and then maybe terrorize my brother. I'm going to try to include him the best I can with all of this.. .We may have different dads but I don't want him to feel like an outsider to this important part of my life.
Toodles!~ ;D
