More nightmares last night; this is the third night in a row. Except this time it was sentient zombies. Not the "I want to eat you" kind, just the "I died horribly and now I want you to be dead too 'cause it'll be fun" kind. Again I don't remember much, just flashes of images. I remember a sick person running into a crowd of people and then the ( Read more... )

Have you tried sleeping with consecutive patterns for more than one week? Going to sleep and waking up at different times can lead to all kinds of changes in health. If you set a specific sleeping time and waking up time for at least a week, preferably more, that could make a difference -- that alone has been known to improve appetite, drowsiness, and even levels of depression if altered and monitored.

Also, talking to a doctor about it might not be such a bad idea. Like so many other things, excessive nightmares can be caused by an unbalance of chemicals in the brain. There could be a correlation between your tendency to experience depression and nightmares, and your doctor might be able to get you on a more tailored antidepressant. (Even though you haven't been on them in a while. =/)

I know you probably don't have a doctor lined up in Portland, but if you ever need to make an appointment -- like if you're really sick or something -- you should bring this up while at that appointment. Otherwise, maybe you could try what I recommended earlier?

ilu. ♥ Sorry you're having nightmares. They're freaking disturbing.

Yes, I have. By "going to sleep at different times" I don't mean I'm switching it up every night. I've been pretty consistent for the past two weeks or so.

Thanks for trying to help though, and I'll keep it in mind. <3
