Also, the Chungs from the New York dry cleaning place had to finally shut down their store. Here's what a guy on PoE news said about it.
"It is really weird, but locally public opinion on the case... has completely swung around against the Chungs.
There hasn't been any specific reason for the shift in sympathy, but the talk amongst DC residents is that the Chungs completely deserve everything bad that has happened to them and that Roy Pearson has been completely vindicated by the closing of this store.
Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas recently said of the Chungs on local talk-radio, "I hope those m----fuckers starve, -uck them," and dozens of listeners called in support of his comments, with nary a negative voice to be found.
Pearson's fundraising effort for his appeal has been bolstered significantly by this inexplicable shift in sympathies, with even DC Mayor Adrian Fenty appearing at an event in support of the former Administrative Law Judge.
Said Mr. Pearson, "I'm really gratified for the new-found community support and encouragement. I think the closing of [the Chung's shop] really crystalised the issues for a lot of DC residents and spread understanding of how difficult my struggle for justice has been."
That might make you feel better? But only because the injustice of it is just so over the top ridiculous that you have to laugh.
