'Cause We're Like This Again
Not that Mama and I have been fighting exactly, but lately things have been a bit strained, what with the crappy overnight and 6am phone call, followed by Em and me being caught doing no work AND eating chocolate powder on shift.
So, it's been a bit weird. I'm trying to avoid her without looking like I'm avoiding her, and she was barely speaking to me unless she had to tell me something work related. It was NOT fun.
But then yesterday she told me about how she's going away for a few days about the 22nd, and asked me to HOUSE SIT for her. She has the most amazing house, it's absolutely gorgeous and she's so careful about keeping it looking nice. I mean, just sitting in this house makes me feel like I shouldn't be touching anything. I can't wait, I'm so excited!
And no, no parties. I'd have to clean up.
My new year's was ok, went to Smel's and got majorly drunk, spent the first half of the night trashing certain people no one likes, and the second being cranky - dragging Keira off Shane - watching fireworks - pilfering cones - etc. A few amusing moments between Mel, her boyfriend Alex and me. The best one had to be where Alex and I had a D&M in the bedroom and walked out together. Smel asked what we'd be doing and with a totally straight face I said "oh, having sex with your boyfriend."
Alex and Mel thought it was funny as anything, but they were trashed.
