So the Carson Daly show that comes on really late is right now showing all Green Day performances from earlier in the week... Green Day had been a guest on the show as a Grammy Nominee, and were to perfom A song, but ended up just continuing the makeshift concert on the show. The producers continued to film and Carson Daly decided to dedicate an entire show to them a few nights later (right now) and air all songs performed, maybe because he's as disappointed as the rest of the world (Green Day nominated for 7 Grammys including Album of the Year, the first "punk" band to ever receive the nomination for that category) when Green Day only won Best Rock Album. I was reading polls on vh1.com and mtv.com as well as others, and Green Day was expected to win most categories they were nominated for (including the biggie BAY). Alas, the show just on was perfect, as it was live when I saw them in Atlanta. I offered to take James to their next southeastern show in Charlotte NC for his birthday gift, tix on sale this Friday, show in April, but he just can't decide. Humph. Next up is STOMP! this Sunday, New Found Glory March 15th, hopefully Green Day in April, and the Warped Tour this summer. Hopefully sometime in my life: H.I.M. H.I.M. has been signed by the Bloodhound Gang's label, but has yet to do a full tour...? My speculation is that they are awaiting the release of an upcoming album and will tour with that heading in Europe then America. Hmmmm, a girl could only dream.
So Valentine's Day lasted for about 3 days total... the first was from Mom, the second from James, and the third from James (today). We went to dinner at Deorio's because he'd never been there before, and we saw the movie Hitch. It was ooookkkkay, a few chuckles. Still squealing every time the Constantine trailer comes on, however.
James and I got pictures made at Sears the 14th, they turned out really cute, and he bought me a really nice leatherbound photo album for my birthday and a doubleframe for vday. We both got each other the same teddy bear, which I find cool, because I really liked the bear and wanted one for myself anyway. No pink heart ring from Reeds.
I went to Barnes and Noble today and James and I bought a really pretty silvery Simpsons jigsaw puzzle and a Family Feud DVD game, both on sale, totalling about $10. We couldn't believe the price and are planning to go back SOON for some of the other games that we didn't know were 75% off. Also stopped by Old Navy and picked up some pink flip flops (!) and a sweet denim jacket that's already a bit distressed but not fraying. James didn't stop drooling over it and now he wants one too. It's reallllly cute.
Spring Break at PC! WOOOOOO! Condo under construction so we had to rent a house with Danny/Nicki, Greg/Kim, Matt/Mandy, and Eric/Jennifer. James' birthday is the Thursday that we leave so yay woo party.
I'm sure I'd like to keep yapping but I wanna go to ebay now. Ciao!
