I want to send a message out.

[Private to Snape.]

You're going to help.

[/Private]

If you've arrived in the past week, don't bother. I am not human and I'm not friendly. And if you sing, I will find you. At night. With a brick.

asking for it, obey me, event:fourth wall

Are you [checks his list] Mr Arthas?

[He sounds just a little nervous.]

Dr Hix asked me to send his apologies. He didn't think you'd be very happy, but he's having Dungeon Dimension incidents and they couldn't really wait.

He can kidnap Snape but he can't take five minutes to talk in person without having to use magic?

[He just needs something to be mad at, really. From what he's gathered the Dungeon Dimensions are a little like the Twisting Nether and when shit goes down in the Twisting Nether it tends to get knocked to the top of your priority list.]

He told me he's really, really sorry. It's kind of... planet endangering stuff he's involved in over here.

And that he'd have kidnapped you, but he didn't know how much you weigh.

[Private]

I can take him a message for you.

Weigh? What? [Today is so confusing :c]

[Private]

Can you.

It's the magical law of displacement. There was, I believe, a pile of rocks in Mr Snape's place? That weighed exactly the same as him. To summon him, he had to send the same weight back in the other direction. Then to send him back, he'd summon the rocks.

[Private]

I can. I'm a very reliable message taker, and I wouldn't pass on the message to anyone but Hix.

And I don't know you, so the relevance of any message is probably lost on me.

How'd he know Snape's exact weight? [Still sort of trying to wrap his head around that Hix is alive over here :/]

[Private]

Tell him... I got his letter. [He mentions you. No, better not make this longer then it has to be.] Grindelwald graduated. Fordring returned my soul; Frostmourne is dead, but it wasn't alive to begin with. It never had a voice of its own. It was me. It was always me. Tell him I'm sorry.

[This is all related in a detached, bored tone, hands in pockets, but he's staring a hole in the camera.]

I think... well, have you ever seen them walk down a corridor together? They're about the same height and build. I'm going to assume he used something near his own weight and hoped for the best.

[Private]

[long pause, he's scribbling it down and avoiding Arthas' stare.]

I'll make sure he knows. Is there anything you want me to ask him?

[Snort. Yeah, okay, Snape could almost pass for Hix from the back. Then again, so could half the male warlock population.]

[Private]

Why? He won't be able to answer.

I... It's kind of habit to ask.

And I don't know how long this will last. He'll come out to sleep or eat or something. Maybe. Or he might get to write you another letter...

And who's going to deliver it? You?

Well, if these incidents seem to happen every time Hix is busy elsewhere, then I suppose it will be me.

Won't that be convenient. [Keywords, Ponder :(]

I wanted to make sure that's everything, that's all.

I hope next time it's not when he's got a planet to save, though.

The whole planet. [He sounds unconvinced, and shakes his head. He raises a hand to the comm to cut the connection, then, as an afterthought:]

270 pounds. And I miss him.
