we have just gotten home from Piratez, she finished the pitcher of sangria we were sharing... wow, this is just soooooo fucking cute.
...and at least its not me for a change, this time, I am the "sober" one, assisting her, in her cute kittenish moments.
I Love it.
and I'm off early from work for once, so I can enjoy the eve.
on another note, for those who havn't heard...
My store, has announced its "Recession hours".
I work in a Game store. not a video game store, but a real one, that sells games you play with other live people, like... at a table with friends.
we have changed our hours for the first time in 18 years, formerly 10-10, now 11-9.
the back half of the store is a hangout. most of are regulars are being supportive and adjusting thier gaming schedules to work with us. Our historical gamers, the mostly rude and unfriendly crowd that buy's all thier stuff at conventions, and not from our store, are the only ones screaming complaints. I listened for an hour or two, as a man, who has spend a third as much as an out of work teenager (I checked customer sales histories) complained to my boss, and tried to get us to change our new hours.
The new hours are based off when people are shopping, not hanging out gaming.
we had to let most of our part timers go, and shuffle the remaining people around to cover the new hours.
the upside, I <3 my new hours. I now work four days open to close, and get 3 days off... including.... FRIDAYS!!! Ascension, bound, movie nights, birthdays!
...hell, actually playing some of the silly games I've bought over the last couple years...
