Not much to do about nothing.

I feel like I should be posting, but I don't really have much to say. Ness is in MD with her family for the weekend, and actually heading to MN for the week for work (she'll be back in time for her birthday though next weekend). So I'm pretty much on my own for a while.

I went to my mother's surprise birthday party today, which was nice, alot of people that my mother has been friends with (before I was born, so several decades, including some from her highschool days) were there.

I considered going out to a goth nite (one of the Shadowlands) or looking into to see if one of the Norristown LARPs were going on, but instead decided to pick up a case of beer (Troegenator Doublebock!) and caught up on Kings at home. I think it's a bit strange that Kings isn't a miniseries, and on a regular network. I'm really liking it so far, I've always enjoyed biblical stories. People who don't know those stories would probably be surprised how loyal Kings is to its source material. There was a lot of political/military drama, sex, and jealous killings in the good old days.

I'm now watching the 2nd season of Life on Mars (BBC). And it's still superior to the American version. Funny to see the gags the American version lifted (that just didn't work) back in the original setting when then made sense. (or at least had context) Spooky TV Pattern Girl out classes CGI Mooncrawlers everytime.

Tomorrow is Brian's Vampire table top game. It's been a while since we've played, and I'm looking forward to it.

I guess I had more to say than I thought.

updates, family, tele
