I can't wait
So once again March has rolled around. I turned 19 on Saturday. It was a good birthday, very relaxing and fun. I went to Edelweiss, a funky little German place in Ft. Worth that has a dance floor and a live band. I had a blast, and was able to enjoy a big plate of schnitzel.
This morning I woke up and stepped out on my balcony for a cigarette and I noticed that the Bradford Pear trees are starting to blossom. The daffodils have already bloomed as well. This makes me really excited, because I can feel spring approaching, especially today. The sky feels like spring. Springtime is my favorite season in Texas. Its when I really enjoy the bit of great weather and wildflowers. And the nights are the best. They are cool yet warm. The air somehow seems cleaner, softer. Maybe it's just me, but Springtime has always seemed magical to me. Its a time for new beginnings and when green and sunlight return. I can't wait.
Today is an awesome day. Rick is taking me to this carnival so we can ride the ferris wheel and eat funnel cakes. I can't wait. And the weather is really nice, i bet the sunset is going to be spectacular.
I'm going to do some thrift store shopping and deposit my check.
I can't wait until I can go swimming again. I can't wait for cute flip flops and billowy skirts.
I love it when the seasons are in the process of changing.
