Ever have one of those moments when the powers that be suddenly reach out and slap you? Not in a bad way, just, you know, to get your attention. As if to say "We're here, we're listening. You're on the right path."
Haven't had one of those for months now. used to have them on a regular basis, daily, weekly. signs from something on a higher level. lots of times with the whole "ha ha, you're kinda screwed. what are you going to do now?", and others like the one that just happened.
ahhh, philosophy at 1:30 in the morning. and no drinking is involved! (except for water)
are there observers and meddlers on the higher planes? are there even higher planes of existence? personally, i think so. some people, some families are watched more, and things happen to them for whatever reason, some good some bad. do these beings control us? no. i think they can have some influence on this plane, they can shift the threads of life, as it were, but ultimately we are in control of our destiny.
