I've been thinking about applying to the
Jet Programme. I don't know what I want to do after I graduate, and I know I need a break before I persue a JD or other high level degree--if I even decide to persue such a degree. I know I don't really want to work. I find working within the accounting profession rather boring. And if I wanted to do anything interesting within the accounting proffession, I would need to be a CPA, which would require more schooling and a lot more stress.
I would like to travel after I graduate, but I don't want to spend a lot of money.
The Jet Programme is enticing because you get paid around $36K a year, and it's only a one year contract. And after meeting people in that program while I was in Japan, it is certainly almost like a paid vacation. They only work 30-35 hours a week, and the work isn't that much. Also, you get a lot of time off, and you have a lot of money left over each month, around 1.5K, which you can blow off on traveling around Japan and Asia.
That sounds cool.
It's really competive, so who knows. . .
All I know is that I don't want to stay here at home anymore, or anywhere near here.
What better place to be than on the other side of the world?
Heh.
