I have a really tough class this semester called Quantitative Methods in Business. Basically it's an advance statistics course, and a required course. And, apparently, I registered with one of the toughest professors. I registered for this course at the last moment, and I didn't have time to research the professor and his methodologies, which sucks.

The majority of the stuff he says doesn't make sense, so basically I decided to just pour over the textbook, study guide and other materials and learn the material myself. I found that when I turn the T.V. off I tend to concentrate better, and I began to really understand the material. Heh heh. T.V. does keep you stupid. o-O

So, I go to class today with my homework completed, all except for the two last problems, which were very complex. Almost everyone in the class didn't understand how to approach the problem. He tried explaining it in class, but it really didn't help. During that time the guy next to me is all shifting through his semi-done homework and looking at mine, noticing that mine is complete. He then asks me whether or not I am actually understanding the material. This is the second guy in class to ask me that. After studying the material the day before I felt confident enough to say yes. After class, he asks me if I could help him understand the material. At that moment I'm cursing in my head, only because I know that I'm about to say yes. I told him I would. . .

I'm such a sap. Now I have to devote some time to help this complete stranger because something is preventing him from understanding the material. However, I realized that this may actually be a good thing, because it will force me to study harder for that class to be able to to teach someone else the material. I then remembered that I was in the same situation in the pre-requisite statistic course. Some guy asked me to help him, and I did. I remember that I ended up understanding the material really well, and I was able to help him understand the material too. Needless to say, I did get an A in that course, and the guy I was helping missed the A by 10 or so.

Ugh, I'm like a brown Ros.
