sunsets and car crashes
today was an absolutely ridiculous blend of grogginess, suckiness, nausea, and a bit of fun.
so yeah.
you know that the spill canvas CD, sunsets and car crashes?
today was kind of like that. minus the sunset. and add a ditch, some REALLY dark woods, a few trees, and ominous boulders. plus route 31 and back roads. and a state trooper. and the complete and total difference a second can make.
all are ok, jenny's car was a bit battered, though.
i'm going to write. and then pray, i think. for the first time in months, if not years.
and i was just listening to the all-american rejects song 'night drive.' weird. and also 'it ends tonight.' weirder.
and that's not even where it ends.
ugh.

jenny and i were laughing a bit after getting out of the car. i mean, yeah there were some tears. but, what can you do, besides cry or yell? i don't like those two options, so laughing took our mind off things for a bit, lightened up the mood.
the line from 'garden state' comes to mind:
"..what do you do? You laugh. I'm not saying I don't cry but in between I laugh and I realize how silly it is to take anything too seriously. Plus, I look forward to a good cry. It feels pretty good."
