Took a look at some of those movies that were suggested, and I gotta say they definitely did the trick. Hell, I even convinced the bookworm to sit and watch a few. It's only fair that he humors me for a while, after I had to read that stupid book of his.
Sadly, he seemed to be unimpressed with my choices; mostly pointless gore must not be his thing. Saw didn't even get a twitch out of him. I guess the man deserves more credit than I thought.
