So this is going to be a bit of a rambley update.
It's E3 this week. Hmm
The Sony conference was yesterday and well, the release date and price has been announced for the PS3, as was speculated it's being released in november with only a week gap between Japanese and US/UK launch dates. The kicker is that there will be two versions of the PS3 (yeah, I wonder where they got that idea *cough*BillBoxMk2*cough* One with a 20GB HD which will retail for around £340 and one with a 60GB HD that will retail for around £440. I can't afford this shit. Seriously.
And also, Sony re-designing the controller to have tilt sensitive control. Not cool. Try thinking of something original Sony?
Squenix also released the first information on Final Fantasy XIII. The first game in the series to have a female protagnoist (I don't include X-2 because well, it sucked). It looks pretty enough but Squenix can't keep using the same formula over and over, it's gonna become pretty redundant. I mean, we're not even gonna get FF XII until 2007 over here. I will hold judgement for now.
The Nintendo and Microsoft conferences are today but there was a little buzz yesterday surrounding the Wii. Apparently it'll retail in the price range of £130, which was the initial price for the GC. Evidently a lot more affordable than the PS3 but this isn't a confirmed price as of yet. Also confirmation on the extra controls for Twilight Princess on the Wii, which I still think will be a little dumb but good for a laugh I'm sure. I hope they announce a lot of good stuff over the next few days. And also, getting the release date before the PS3 would make me giddy. Also the european release date for the DS Lite, pretty please. *cross fingers*
Nearly finished watching the second season of Battlestar Galactica. Hmm, again.
They killed Billy! ekfvdservvbskldvqkfvbeoalnsld. WTF?! Seriously. He died for absolutely no reason at all and... AND... Dualla barely even cared that he died. In fact no one appeared to. There was the brief scene with the Prez but even that was quickly glossed over. Didn't even get a frakking funeral. Also how many times is Apollo going to have a near death experience this season? Oh and how many frakking commanders of the Pegusus do they need? This season is a bit all over the place. Really enjoying Katee as Starbuck more and more though. I <3 her. I'm also glad that they brought Six back, although I'm loving Gina a lot more.
But would they please, please stop putting important bits of information in the previouslies that were from deleted scenes, they did it a lot in season one and it still pisses me off now.
I'm having to download the last three episodes of the season because they haven't aired in the Uk yet. Really looking forward to an episode focusing on the cylons. So I will probably rant about that in the next few days. heh.
