*Mao stares mutely at Beryl, unsure of how to approach.*

Freaking Baal...

*Beryl continues looking down for a few moments, tears splattering against the ground. She slowly looks up and upon seeing Mao she wipes her tears away quickly, possibly because she doesn't want to show weakness to her rival*

O-Oh, h-hey.

*Her voice quivers when she speaks*

I see another disappeared today.

[darkmastern]

*she bites her lip and turns around to face the other way*

Y-yeah. It.. It seems so.

*Her shoulders shake a bit and her arm rises to wipe away tears once more*

*moment of silence*

...she had good stats, she'll be missed. Maybe one day she'll come back.

*Beryl looks back at him looking sort of surprised, and maybe even slightly relieved. He didn't say much, and to most people it wouldn't even have much meaning. But coming from Mao, she knew that it meant a lot more than how it sounded*

Yeah, I hope... I hope that she does find her way back here some day...

[maocontent]

She'd better freakin' hurry up, too. A rival is useless to kick while down! It's not even fun!

And if she can't, then Baal is going down that much faster!

[darkmastern]

Yeah. I think it's about time that someone stood up to him.

You're a better honor student than he ever could be.

*She walks over to him, and hugs him thankfully, knowing it must be hard for someone like him to be nice to people like this, even if he was doing it in his own way*

[maocontent]

*Mao feels awkward from the hug, considering a whole slew of things, but doesn't resist*

Hmph, don't you know it.

[darkmastern]

*She lets go and then smiles up at him*
