GODDAMNIT I WROTE A NICE HUGE POST AND THEN QUIT OUT BEFORE I SAVED IT!!! damnit i was finding a song for Raughley and i closed all the windows and didnt get to finish it. no beef with raughley, cause hes a good man, but i really liked that post and now i cant remember the title, and it was a sweet title.
This morning, at 2:30AM, after approximately 13 hours of effort, i finally finished my illuminated manuscript. Its very pretty. i like it, and frankly i think its better than most everyone elses. if i get around to it, ill post a picture of it on my webshots.
So after i finished it, i went to bed and skipped first period studyhall. it was nice to be able to sleep until 7:45 and not 5:45. I was able to shower without nodding off, got dressed without rushing, drove to school without panicking, and walked into the school without regret.
After school, i went into portland and purchased a bunch of things. They were 3 pairs of sticks *glee*, a felt silencer, a ring damper, an egg and cheese on croissant, and the new incubus dvd "Alive at Red Rocks" *superglee*. let me just say, its sextacular. just incredible.
It was so nice today. The weather, i mean. i believe it was near 52 today, and very sunny and clear. to drive down mainstreet with the window down and the cool wind pushing my long hair back out of my face and chilling my skin while the sun leaked through the windshield and warmed my stomach was a freeing feeling and it made every trivial and stupid aspect of life in this dusty shoebox seem like simple grass stains on my jeans.
i wanna do some major tattooing when i get back from the festival this weekend cause im feeling naked.
wow the week is more than half over... strange, it feels like monday was just today or yesterday. thats pretty sweet. and the best part is i get to miss most of tomorrow for that gig at USM. good times...
so i was studying for my rediculous math test today over functions of trig and such, and kev rollins come up and asks me where i will use that math in my chosen profession of music education. funny thing was i had just come off a 10 minute tangent over how useless the math im learning is in any of our majors, our referring to the guys i was sitting with at the table. The majors were Music Ed, Music Performance, Criminal Justice, Biology, History, and something else that i cant remember cause justin doesnt talk about his future that much.
oh, that test blew donkey dong.
i noticed as i was driving home from my adventure to portland that the melted water from this week's warmer temps and days of rain has raised the level of the river like 15 feet. its kinda scary. i took a few pictures, some being the sign down by the boat landing that is approximately 4 feet deep in the water. the sign stands around 7 feet tall and is located like 10 feet from the normal edge of the river.
i dont have that much else to write about. mr rixon seems to be losing his mind more and more, but what else is new?
i want the trees to start budding soon. gray is less appealing than green, and the world seems to be a mix of mud brown, white, gray, and cold.
i wanna lie in the hammock...
i wanna play a sweet show...
