Author’s Note: And my second ever drabble! Again, horribly fluffy, for which I apologise. I imagine this as them being very young, hence the fluffiness and optimism - late teens at the very oldest, probably. Anyway, written for the doctorwho_100 prompt 032: Sunrise. Hope you enjoy! :)
They sit and watch as the suns rise red over Gallifrey, setting the crimson grass to blazing in a glow of fire and gold. They fall back against each other, and Koschei’s chest feels full, head light and bubbly like good champagne. He is happy and in love, and the emotions are untainted by age or knowledge or anger. Lying there, in the red fields of his estate, his young mind dances through the brightness of his imagined future. Darkness has yet to touch him, and he cannot see the shadows. He loves Theta, and that is more than enough.
