Adrien Brody.....mmmmmmm.....
There's a discussion going on at rangerishot 's journal about casting in the Harry Potter movies -
We were discussing many of the characters, but (and please don't come after me with torches, pitchforks, tar, feathers and a rail) I commented that, in my opinion, Alan Rickman, gorgeous though he is (he can put his boots under my bed any day) is physically too old to play Snape.
Before anyone comes after my blood - I can't imagine any voice being more fitting, and his characterisation of Snape is perfect - it's simply the physical side of it I feel is wrong - particularly in the last 2 movies.
Having read the books before I saw the movies, I have my own image of Snape - and physically, he's very different from the ever so sexy Alan Rickman - though, being a fan of AR long before Harry Potter, I've always imagined his voice as Snapes.
I think on the physical side of things, Adrien Brody has more of the physicality of Snape - even though he still isn't who I picture as MY Snape, he is closer than Alan Rickman.
This, of course, got my inner pervy creature obsessing again, as I think Adrien Brody is lovely -

He also bulks up well, doesn't he?
And his face is so beautiful.... and that nose! *sigh* (I LOVE a big hooter - that's a NOSE...you have a dirty mind - but I wouldn't say no to the other, either!)

And this one, I feel, is very "tragic" Snapish.... so haunted ....I could fall into those eyes..... (I've got it bad, haven't I?)
Oh dear... I think I'm going to be in trouble again!.........YAY!!!!!!
