Fifty Hard and Fast Ones (well, you asked, and it gives me an excuse to skive off housework)
Zero - Who was your last text from?
My son
One - Where was your default pic taken?
It's a Brian Froud painting - love his work, and I've been told it looks a bit like me...but better.
Two - Your relationship status?
Very, very happily single - though a sex life would be nice - Note to self: get a sex life.
Three - Have you ever lost a close friend?
I never lose friends... though I'm terrible at mislaying them - but we usually hook up again. Once I consider someone a friend, they stay that way in my mind - for better or worse, whether we keep in touch or not.
Four - What is your current mood?
Okay - not one thing or another, really
Five - What’s your brother(s)/sister(s) names?
I won't put them up here - but I have two full sisters, one full brother, two half sisters, three step sisters, two step brothers, and two foster brothers and two foster sisters (actually cousins that my mum fostered on and off after her sister died - but I consider them siblings)... so quite a brood, though we never all lived together at any one time.
Six - Where do you wish you were right now?
On a local ridge, looking out over the Blue Mountains wilderness area - might pop out there later
Seven - Have a crazy side?
I have other sides???
Eight - Ever had a near death experience?
More than I'd care to mention - but each one very interesting, if not pleasant
Nine- Something you do a lot?
Armchair philosophise
Ten - Angry at anyone?
No - I very rarely get angry at people - situations, yes, but people, in general, peeve me briefly at worst.
Eleven - What’s stopping you from going for the person you like?
There's no-one I like enough to go for at the moment - that's in the least attainable, at any rate.
Twelve - When was the last time you cried?
Two days ago - it's good for you
Thirteen- What are you really good at?
This will sound like I'm tooting my own horn, but I end up good at most things that interest me - I'm a jack-of-all-trades - except ten pin bowling - I love it, but I'm woeful at it.
Fourteen - What do you think about when you are falling asleep?
Too varied a selection to list
Fifteen- What were you doing yesterday at 10:00 a.m?
Having what turned into a four hour post mortem and future strategy meeting regarding the results of The Badly Behaved Women With Fingerless Gloves' final presentation to our local council to address pollution problems in our hamlet (we had a pretty good result, but we're still working on it)
Sixteen - Do you prefer light or dark hair on the opposite sex?
Dark. Definitely I will qualify this with 'in real life' - though I have gone out with blonds and redheads - there's more to a person than hair colour.
Seventeen - Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
A fellow Badly Behaved Woman With Fingerless Gloves
Eighteen - What is/are your favorite band(s)?
I really couldn't list them all.
Nineteen - What are you doing right now?
I'm discussing the pointlessness of existence with a small Greek fisherman, who's just gifted me with a fresh whole yellow-fin tuna, which I'm twirling, whilst dancing the Charleston on my coffee table, dressed in a g-string and rubber wellies, and twirling the tassled pasties I have taped to my nipples - to the tune of 'I've Got a Loverly Bunch of Coconuts'... bloody hell...
Twenty - Who do you trust right now?
Myself.
Twenty one - Where did you get the shirt you are wearing?
My dear departed Dad... It's comfort clothing - makes me feel all warm and fuzzy
Twenty two - Heavy metal music?
Yes - I have been known to listen to it, perform it once or twice, mix it - and even dance the polka to it!
Twenty three- Are you currently missing someone in particular?
Not really, though there are times I miss my Mum and Dad... and the love of my life (though I never want to actually see him again - long, sad story)
Twenty four- Is there anything you’re hiding from someone?
Well, that's just a silly question - we all do to some extent.
Twenty five - Who are you thinking of right now?
Thanks to question 23, the love of my life... but I'll stop soon.
Twenty six - What should you be doing right now?
Housework - but any excuse to get out of it will do!
Twenty seven - What are you listening to?
Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons
Twenty eight - You need new jeans. Quick where do you go?
First stop, my son's room - we take the same size - then, the local charity shops - I'm hopelessly addicted to second hand stores and such places/markets - it's not the price (though that's a plus) - it's the thrill of finding treasures!
If no luck there, the boy's department of the local shops.
Twenty nine - Who was the last person who yelled at you?
My son - he's a teen - it's part of the job description
Thirty - Do you act differently around the person you like?
I suppose so - I tend to suffer even more from foot in mouth disease in these situations
Thirty one - What is your eye colour?
Depends on the lighting and what I'm wearing - from a sort of turquoise, to green, to hazel - and they glow yellow in UV light, which, I've been told, is quite off-putting to others.
Thirty two - Who was the last person to make you laugh?
My son.
Thirty three - Who was the last person to make you angry?
Four thick-headed councillors at my presentation, who hadn't done their homework, ie, read previous submissions, or even the agenda for the meeting. I was more irritated than angry, though.
Thirty four - Hello Kitty?
I second teddyradiator's answer...fucking hell.
Thirty five - Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Straight - as straight as you can imagine. I used to hate it, but now I realise it's easier to curl straight hair, than to straighten curly hair, so I'm over it.
Thirty six - Hug anyone of opposite sex in past 24 hours?
My son - I hug him at least once a day (he pretends to grudgingly put up with it, but would miss it if I didn't lol)
Thirty-seven - One thing you want right now?
I may sound like a ditzy beauty queen, but I want a better, peaceful, more equitable world for our kids.
Thirty eight - Will you fall in love in the next few months?
God, I hope not, and I doubt it, but never say never - it's sure to jinx you (I don't do romance well - not saying no to a bit of fun filled, friendly lust, though)
Thirty nine - What does the 5th text in your inbox say?
'Thanks so much - both of u. Here's to happy days!' (I'm actually amazed at this - I was sure it would be 'mum - can you pick me up?'
Forty - Are you worried about the future?
Not for myself so much - but for my son, and future generations.
Forty one - Are you happy with life right now?
I'd have to say yes - there are problems, of course, but all in all, I'm quite content.
Forty two - Are you currently jealous?
No - jealousy's a waste of energy, and achieves nothing. If you're jealous of someone else's acquisitions or achievements, use that energy to achieve or acquire it yourself. If it's someone's good fortune, be happy for them, and think 'If it could happen to them, it just goes to show there's a chance it could happen to me'. If it's something unattainable, accept it and move one - wanting something you can't ever have, and getting all angsty over it is a pointless exercise.
If I find myself feeling jealous, I kick myself up the bum, and focus my energies on something that will benefit me. Life's too short.
Forty three - Of what?
Nothing, and no one - honestly. I'm talking about proper gut wrenching jealousy here, not 'Oh if only that could happen to me' or 'I wish I could do that' type stuff - that's fleeting and not jealousy in my opinion.
Forty four -Do you forgive or forget?
I nearly always forgive, or at least get past whatever it is... but I never forget - it's a self preservation thing - if you forget, you never learn.
Forty five - What do you miss the most about primary school?
The absolute belief that you can achieve anything you set your mind to (I must admit, within reasonable limits, I still believe this, or at least, if you never try because you're afraid of failing, you've already failed)
Forty six - Favorite Disney Channel show?
No idea.
Forty seven - Is there anybody you’re really disappointed in right now?
No. People have let me down, but it wasn't unexpected, so I couldn't say that they've disappointed me.
Forty Eight - What are you looking forward to?
Lots of things - but I guess seeing the pollution problem finally sorted in my hamlet.
Forty nine - Does anyone like you right now?
I'd say so. If they don't - well, you can't please everyone.
Fifty- Lyrics to the song you’re listening to?
I'll do better than that - I'll give you the vid and song as well!

Weep for yourself, my man,
You'll never be what is in your heart
Weep Little Lion Man,
You're not as brave as you were at the start
Rate yourself and rake yourself,
Take all the courage you have left
Wasted on fixing all the problems
That you made in your own head
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear?
Didn't I, my...
Tremble for yourself, my man,
You know that you have seen this all before
Tremble Little Lion Man,
You'll never settle any of your scores
Your grace is wasted in your face,
Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
Now learn from your mother or else spend your days Biting your own neck
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear? (x2)
Didn't I, my dear?
Ahhhhh......
But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear? (x2)
Didn't I, my dear?
Now... what else can I come up with to get out of vacuuming?
I know! I'll post some pics of yummy men... with swords! (xiphophilia... here I come!)
