I am applying ice to my knee after dropping the motorbike whilst going over the waratah station overpass.
Someone had a flat tyre *just* around the corner and chose to try to fix it there rather than move the car further away from there. Car in front of me stopped/slowed suddenly (possibly to ask if they needed help), I tried to emulate. Bike cornering, enough drizzle to loosten oil film on road= Bike brakes on strike. I am so glad I was wearing my kevlar jeans. Wish I'd had a proper jacket on. My thin windcheater did pretty good protecting me from the road surface but now has a small hole in the elbow.
Small amount of damage all told.
I broke the clutch lever on the motorbike again though (3rd time). And had to walk it the 1/2 km back to Rowlands house (all the while wondering if the graze on my elbow was dripping blood or not (wasn't - just a small graze, gravel free).
I love how light my motorbike is. It makes it SO much easier when this sort of stuff occurs.
In other news my niddy noddy (skein winding device) arrived the other day so I've been happily skeining up the wool I've woven so far.
