I wuz robbed....

Someone broke into the house over the long weekend while I was away at SpringWar and riffled through all the draws.
I lost a little jewelry, some euros, pounds and us$ saved aside for traveling and my ipod. There was nothing else they seemed to find of value. The landlady's printer, whitegoods, my laptop, my beloved new vacuum cleaner head - all were left behind. Steve may have scared them off when he came by to feed the cats.

I'm most bummed about the ipod which, though it was beginning to stutter and die (2yr mark being approached) still held a lot of music I loved and may not be able to easily refind :P.
However this gives me a chance to try new music - so if you have any good songs to recommend please let me know!
I am still figuring out what jewelry is missing - most of it would have been cheap or handmade stuff with only intrinsic value. The box it was in was one of those hidden catch affairs that the thief probably couldn't open and so carried off. Alas I have probably lost my last leather rose badge from the California renfair... Any chance someone could get me a replacement?

In other news I had a great SpringWar - had an awesome time on the battlefield once I got myself into the right mindset and barely had time to think about mudane life.
It drizzled for a lot of the event but was never cold enough to be off putting. I will be making myself some wool garb for evenings though.
Rowland (my gentleman) was in charge of the kitchen and so I went and fought for his honour (well more because I wanted to play) on the tourney and battlefield.
I didn't take many photographs at the event (being too busy running around in armor of peeling vegetables), only two of Malachi in the pink pirate hat Mum made for him - but I know lots will be posted on Facebook by others and I can direct you to them. Or I can steal some and upload them here.
I was awarded with the Order of the Jade Annulet, in part for my organisation of the flagon wagon and painting of the bacon-o-clock for the barony. And the Lady Leoba surprised me with a hand made set of roman garb to wear to our St Crispin's day feast in October. It's blue and purple. Very pretty and I promise photos.

I'll go have a shower, scour off all this grit and begin doing a washload of garb. Huh-Zah!
