Damn roaches! Eatsing all my strawberries
I had thought it was slugs and put out the obligatory beer trap (which then filled up with water as the intermittant showers around the place got thirsty and headed for it). I went out to empty the thing and found two large american cockroach munching on what was otherwise a gorgeous big ripe strawberry.
Shakes fist!!
One other had drowned in the beer trap but I think I'm not going to win this one unless I can find a naturally repellant plant to grow next to the berries that won't poison me by proximity. (I think pyrethrum daisys mightn't be safe near food crops)
