Time Flies

I can't believe it has been a month since I posted. I finished teaching my summer class and completed the application for my MFT license. I ordered a book and flash cards from Amazon so I can study for the MFT exam which I am hoping to get permission to take in September. No luck on the job front so far but I am only looking at positions that I really, truly want.

maxineofarc lent me Suikoden III which has been occupying much of my free time. It was very pretty but I did not enjoy it as much as most Final Fantasy games. It had too many characters (108) and you had to level up about half of them in order to win the game. I would have liked it more if playing different characters with different perspectives meant that the characters actually had different perspectives of the game events rather than all just being manipulated by the bad guys to see events falsely. I might try a different Suikoden if I find out they have less characters.

In the only other gaming news of import to me, Jane Jensen's Gray Matter has been pushed back another year in terms of its release date *sigh*

I love my dragons! Check them out here to see how much my lair has grown in just a month.

In terms of other fun things I have done:
-Spent a fun-filled afternoon with maxineofarc eating the best BLTs ever and swimming in her apartment's pool.
-Saw The Hulk with revengel, Swamp Donkey, and Kathy! It was entertaining but it was no Iron Man.
-Watched Sunshine, Unbreakable, and the horrific Snakes on a Plane via Netflix.
-Hung out with queende chatting about all sorts of geeky topics, grabbing food at Dogfish Head, and showing her some Frisky Dingo.
-Ate delicious crab cake sliders at Center Cafe with revengel and some family in celebration of my Ph.D.
-Devoured Mexican food at Chevy's with revengel's mom.
-Role-played Heroes three weekends in a row after not playing for about a month and a half.
-Spent some quality time with James, Cindy, and their daughter.
-Attended a fabulous cook-out and pool party with friends yesterday. I swam for hours and got a bit burned but it was so worth it. I love swimming!
-Finished Jacqueline Carey's book "Kushiel's Mercy" which I think was definitely the best of her Imriel trilogy. I got teary so many times that I lost count.
-Watched the majority of the first season of Torchwood with revengel. I am liking it very much, to my own surprise. I am even considering giving the new Doctor Who another chance.

It has been a very difficult week for me because my heart-brother is going through a horrific time and there is almost nothing I can do to help. I have spent most nights this week on the phone with him for hours. Sometimes there are no easy answers.
