So I just purchased an
ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook. This bad boy is rated for 10.5 hours of battery life, which realistically comes down around to 7 or so - which is still awesome. I’m going to be using it for school primarily, but it would be awesome to bring on vacation.
So…here’s how the purchase went down - I first paid $379.99 @
CircuitCity - which this laptop is definitely NOT worth. I used
Bing to get 15% cashback on this purchase - resulting in $57 cashback after some waiting…And on top of that, there was a promotion from CircuitCity that gives you an additional $20 cashback for using Paypal. Basically, my end price was $302.99. In my opinion, this is still over priced…Since it only came with 1gb of ram, I had to upgrade for around $30. This specific netbook, though well-rated, is plagued with issues regarding the power supply/cord. Hopefully I won’t encounter this problem, but we’ll see.
