Caught this new TV series on the Sci-Fi Channel last night. It'a about this guy who wakes up naked and alone on an isolated island and can't remember anything about hiself... but he knows everything. In fact, not only does he know everything, he can use the knowledge too, such as flying helicopters and the like. He's also monochromatically colourblind - except that he occasionally sees flashes of colour in people or pictures, which he thinks may have some connection to him.
The premise of the series is that, while working as a pianist at a bar/restaurant, he tries to find out who he really is while at the same time helping the police solve crimes. Oh, and I forgot to mention that he has a strange symbol by his shoulder that looks like a scar and is of a crescent, two lines bisecting it at the bottom, and a small nearly-circe near the top. Oh, and it seems that Mossad is interested in him, and Nick thinks my description of his mark sounds uncannily similar to the symbol of the Order of the Cruciform Knights (or something, Nick I'm sure will correct me on that).
It's a pretty cool series. I like the Sci-Fi Channel.
We also watched 8 Mile, which was really good as well. I hadn't known that Lose Yourself actually won an Oscar for best Soundtrack - I bet the mainstream really had to bite down for that one...
