Gotten from thorne1966...

Comment on this post and I will pick seven of your interests. You then explain them in your journal and re-post.

Principa Discordia - a (the?) sacred text of the Discordian religion, written in 1965 by two men who had a divine revelation about the goddess Eris while at a bowling alley in San Francisco. Being a Discordian, it obviously means something to me - and as soon as I figure out what that is I'll let you know.

Croup and Vandemar - two characters from Neil Gaiman's book Neverwhere. They are assassins who operate in London Below, and are infamous for their actions and possibly immortal to boot. Croup also eats antiques. As fictional villains go, they're among the best I've ever seen.

Thoth - Egyptian god of science, philosophy and writing (just to name a few). Also has a connection to the number 42. While he isn't part of my personal pantheon, I still consult Thoth occasionally (usually when Nick isn't around to answer my questions).

Chaos Magick - a form of magic which can theoretically change subjective experience and objective reality. I am a practitioner of chaos magic(k), although I like to look at it from both the metaphysical and psychological sides.

Fringe Science - Fringe Science is my term for pseudoscience - ie. areas of science that most of the mainstream tend to ignore or dismiss for various reasons. Some topics under the fringe science umbrella deserve to be there; others, like cryptozoology, don't.

Mockumentaries - basically, fake documentaries. Some of them are obvious fakes presented for satirical purposes from the start; others aren't... and that causes all sorts of fun. Everyone's seen a mockumentary, whether it was This is Spinal Tap, The Blair Witch Project or even The Office. Before I became ill and had to drop out, I had planned for my third-year dissertation to be on mockumentaries. (My favourite mocumentary of all time is still Ghostwatch.)

Survival Horror - the genre that video games such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil fall into. It's my game genre of choice when I play on consoles (which, admittedly, I haven't done too much of recently), usually because it features zombies.
