I've had a migraine on and off for the past three-four days. It's not consistantly "Ohmygod I'm going to die!"-painful, but it does have its moments of Scanners-splitting headpain, nausea, photophobia and temporaty blindness in my right eye. Dosing up on liquid Nurofen capsules and/or going to bed in a darkened room does lessen the pain for a few hours, but never completely and it always comes back after about five or six hours.
If I've still got the damn thing tomorrow I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and call the doctors about it. The NHS Direct Website (which appears to have had a makeover which actually makes it more difficult to read as the mapping is off-target and the text boxes cut off the first letter of each line), thinks I have meningitis, but then again it always thinks I have meningitis and doesn't actually give me any advice other than "Call us! Call us now!" Bloody NHS.
But anyway, that's why I've been rather quiet this weekend.
