NaNo Plot and Characters
Well, I finally got my plot squeezed into two short paragraphs...
In my story, my MC accompanies her college roommate back to her hometown when the roommate is informed that her family have died under strange circumstances. Soon after they get there they find that strange things have been happening in the town, including quite a few dead and missing people.
It soon becomes clear that there is a zombie infestation in the town. The zombies start to overrun the town, it gets cut off from the surrounding area as the power fails and the army seal off the town to try to prevent anyone getting out, and my MC and her friend have to survive somehow.
...or something like that, anyway. I know exactly who my MC is going to be, I'm building up the character of her friend (with name thanks to jackthecake!) and I even managed to come up with a name of the important agent whose scenes will be book-ending the rest of the novel that wasn't Norris (because whenever I thought of Agenst Norris, I would of course end up thinking of Chuck Norris, and then that whole 'Chuck Norris is, like, uber-hard' list ended up in my head, which just ruined the whole thing.
I just need two more supporting characters, some minor characters that will end up as zombie fodder but at least have a purpose outside of that... and of course a lot of zombie fodder.
Time to prowl the name generators, at the very least...
