THe Snip

It dawned on me last night that today is the Autumn Equinox... and today is the day that Macavity (mostly black cat) is having his bits cut off.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we're apparently sacrificing part of a black cat on the Equinox. I am the stereotypical pagan that the Daily Mail fears.

Just got back from taking Mac to the vet's and leaving him there; I was good and didn't start crying like a baby like I thought I would, but it was still sad. Even though I know we'll be picking him up in a few hours, and he'll likely be rather disgruntled over what we've gone and done to him, and I know it needs to be done because otherwise he'll start spraying, fighting and gods know what else as he gets older, I still didn't want to leave him there. He was really good too - didn't get upset when we put him in the carrier (although he kept trying to pick the lock afterwards) and didn't make a fuss or anything.

I'll just be glad to get him back now. Even if he did go for Jelli last night.
