Things we have discovered about Jelly in the past couple of days:
- She is apparently straight-edge. Really. She won't touch the catnip treats I got for heron Wednesday.
- She is scared of the dark. The bulb in the kitchen blew when I went to feed her this evening, and she wouldn't come in for ages, and then only when I was there. And she wouldn't eat with the lights off and followed me straight out again, which she has never done before. When Nick replaced the bulb and the light came back on, she hopped right over there.
- She likes floor food. Well, this one's a no-brainer, as she's a cat, but I was eating baked potatoes with tuna mayonnaise for dinner this evening, and Jelly was, natually, very interested in the tuna. So I decided to give her a small piece to keep her occupied (I did this on Sunday with a slice of sausage from my pizza, which she also loved), and she starts eating out of my hand. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying too much attention to my plate, and the next thing I know I've accidentally knocked it onto the floor (thankfully I'd already eaten a little over half of it). Jelly was, of course, right there in seconds, scoffing away. Lucky cat.

In other news, it's hot and I don't feel well. Bleh. And I haven't watched a single Wimbledon match yet, which is very strange for me (I usually catch one or two matches, because I actually don't mind tennis). Instead, the only TV I've really been watching is the double bills of Cold Case that Sky Three have been showing. It's a disgrace that there aren't DVDs of that show out yet.
