I'm noticing that it's getting harder and harder for me to effectively cogitate sometimes, or that my mind will come up with the most ridiculous things in place of what I actually want to say or am actually seeing/thinking.
For example, I've just answered a question on another comm about GCSE results. Now, it's only been 9 years since my GCSEs, which isn't that far in the past, yet it took me a full two minutes, as well as counting the seperate subjects out on my fingers, to work out how many I actually got.
Another example: in our bathroom at the moment is one of Nick's old history magazines. One of the cover stories is an article about a member of Richard III's retinue. I've seen this magazine, and the cover, dozens of times, yet every time I see it my mind rearranges the letters in the last word, so that "Blondel: The Lionheart's Minstrel" becomes "Blondel: The Lionheart's Mistress" whenever I look at it (which would be an interesting take on the subject, certainly...).
Eventually I fear I'll have to start walking around with a set of cue cards, reminding me about important things like name and address...
