The Decemberists, Death Cab For Cutie and The Pixies.
Two days ago I got to see The Pixies with Reid and Darcy. It was The Decemberists, Death Cab For Cutie and finally The Pixies. I picked Reid up and headed to Bend to get Darc. We got dropped off early and walked around. When we passed the amphitheater we got to hear The Pixies practicing. We walked off because the doors wouldn't open until 5ish and since no one was in line we went. The three of us found our way to Quiznos and ate there. After that we returned to the gates which were starting to form a line which really means a very small mob of people older than us. Once the gates opened Darcy and I sort of walked-ish/ran-ish to the stage. We sat down for quite a while just talking. Soon enough though The Decemberists took stage. They. Were. Simply. Amazing. I wish they'd come back to Bend soon. I'm in love with the lead singer/guitarist. His voice is my favorite (He's kinda hot too). They are my favorite band that I've ever seen live besides maybe Guttermouth and My Chemical Romance. The only thing that could have made it better would be if they played for longer. They ended with A Cautionary Song which is now my favorite song. Death Cab For Cutie were next and even though I liked them they didn't seems well received by a lot of A.D.D. people. No heavy guitars and long songs don't go well with stupid people. Darcy and I 'talked' during there set as best as the loud speakers would allow. It made me feel happy. I would stand behind her with my hands wrapped around the top of her shoulders. It was one of the happiest times I've had with her. Once they got done playing we waited a long time before The Pixies took stage. It was annoying when they did though because everybody wanted nothing more than to push forward. Darcy got tired of it so we went crowd surfing and met up at the side and ended up somehow a little closer. We stood there and heard my three favorite Pixies songs; Gigantic, Where is my Mind, and Caribou. Once it was over we made our way to her mom's car. We were SUPPOSED to go to an after party but since it turned out to be 18+ we drove around and found my mom's car. I gave Darcy a random note a a couple of drawings and said by goodbyes. When I got home I was to tired to stay up so I went to bed.
