OH MY GOD, WORLD CUP I MISSED YOU <3333. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. THE EXCITEMENT, ANTICIPATION. THE GLORIES AND THE LOSSES AND OH MY GOD, I JUST LOVE YOU SO, SO MUCH IT ACTUALLY MAKES ME HATE MYSELF A LITTLE BIT.
I kept trying to revise but only half managed it because Germany v. Australia was just...epic. I felt bad for the Australians but the Germans were really, really good (Muller's goal was fucking FANTASTIC). Sorry, Australia. (Fact: after the fourth goal my mum got up and walked away because she said there was no point watching it anymore.)
OH GOD, ROB GREEN. That's basically been in my head all day, or rather since that moment in the England v. USA match. England, you weren't bad but Green, that was a rookie mistake. I know better than that--body behind the ball always. Always. I always feel worst for the goalies because players upfield can makes mistakes and they have other people to cover for them but goalies--a mistake and that's it. Unless he's brilliant, his career is ruined. (Also, I am still a bit wtf over the fact that he got picked because West Ham near got relegated and let in a ton of goals and just, I don't even know. Whatever, I am not a football manager.)
Regardless, come on England! I will support you madly until you are kicked out. I am praying that they win their group because England v. Germany would just be ridiculous and my hear couldn't cope.
