Pairing: Sakumoto (when has been anything else? LOL)
Rating: G
Disclaimer: Purely a figment of my imagination; the fic, that is. Not them, of course. :)
Summary: You can assume this "behind-the-scene" takes place after the press conference for the Kirin Green Cafe where Sakumoto made an appearance.
A/N: Just saw the news report this evening (30.5.2012) and this begged to be written. Hoping for free time in about two weeks' time (after a sickeningly irritating 6 months) and aiming for final part of TnT to be completed!!!

“Sha shin-to-ru?”
“Ikemasuyou…”
Sho’s giggles as he scampered nearer were threatening to bring on an attack of his own, and Jun barely managed to pull the man offstage amidst the reporters’ fading laughter.
Nodding at the busy staff passing them by, Jun didn’t think he could look at Sho with a straight face, not until he could figure whatever the man seemed to have inhaled to induce this spate of giddy fluffiness.
Even as Sho’s self-amusing gasps tapered off, the twinkle in his eyes didn’t diminish. Of all the emotions that Sho could possibly display, Jun initially thought that Sho might be awkward considering they’d finally owned up to their feelings for each other only recently, or even more so that since that all-important change in status, this was their first promotional event that didn’t have the other members around.
All through the flashing camera bulbs, Jun couldn’t help but feel naked; was he seated too close to Sho that it’d be obvious to the ever-hungry media that things had changed between the two of them? Every jib out of his own mouth to tease Sho felt like a silent declaration to the world that this man-child was his to claim… even if the world didn’t know it.
Despite their shared abode of barely two weeks, Jun hadn’t had the chance to see the man the past few days due to the newscaster’s busy schedule to tie down matters for his coming Olympics reporting stint. Was the stress of work getting to the man? Jun would have expressed his worry, if he didn’t already fret that he’d come across too smothering… or that the reverse would signal that he didn’t care enough… in which case-
“Shitte-ru?” The hushed words were hardly loud enough to cover their rhythmic footfalls as they made their way to their shared car, but sufficient to cut into Jun’s train of thought.
The teasing note was still too obvious in Sho’s quiet tone. Pushing aside his inner naggings of unease, Jun couldn’t help the amused roll of his eyes at the continuation of their game of “-ru”.
“Tabe-ru? Nomi-ru?”
Other words Jun came up with were only met with gentle shakes of Sho’s head. The click of the car-lock began to sound too loud to Jun’s ears, as did his movements as he chucked his and Sho’s bags on the backseats, but Sho only settled down behind the wheel without a word. He held his tongue, waiting till Jun had buckled his own seatbelt before leaning in closer to push into the younger man’s personal space.
The whispered words so close to his ear sent a frisson through Jun and he could only turn away to look out the window while biting down on his lip. Sho gave a short laugh devoid of all previous teasing, but not before noting the red flush staining Jun’s face all the way down to his neck.
As the lights continued to flash by on the highway, Sho’s words replayed in Jun’s mind on loop with single-minded clarity.
“Aishite-ru…”
Translations (I might be wrong since I have never studied Japanese; please do let me know if I've gotten any wrong:
1. “Sha shin-to-ru?”: "You want to take photographs?"
2. “Ikemasuyou…”: "Let's go."
3. “Shitte-ru?”: "Do you know / understand?"
4. “Tabe-ru? Nomi-ru?”: "Eat? Drink?"
5. “Aishite-ru…”: "I love you."
