The end is in sight for Travel the World!! I have...five scenes left to do!! This is five out of twenty-five. askldjf Let's just say that my word count so far is huge. XDD;; I would guess I have at least another thousand words to go (now watch how one scene becomes a thousand words by itself). I stiiill have to edit this as well and add a couple of ( Read more... )

At least you took notes! *flails* I just rely on my terrible memory.. *coughs* And then my way of "reviewing canon" is rereading or rewatching from the start. XDDD

How long did this end up? Or are you not telling until you post it? =P

I'm always thinking 'Do I really need to write my blow-by-blow responses to everything? It takes me ages to read/watch stuff!'. And then I start writing fanfiction for it and I neeeeeeeeed those blow-by-blow responses to find the canon details!

XDDD

Not telling until I post it! Which, uh, might be very soon? Printing it off and reviewing it, I didn't need to change much so it might go up in a couple of hours. :D Wanna guess how long it is?

lksdjf I can't access my e-mail. D:

Um, um. Over 10K? :D

I went through all my fics on AO3 yesterday and tagged them with word count (100-1000 for drabbles, 1000-5000 for short oneshots, 5000-10000 for long oneshots, and 10,000+ for multi-parters). Granted, the multi-parters would actually need to be longer than 10k, and the oneshots would need to be less than 10k, hahahaha.

I bet this "oneshot" of yours is longer than my multi-parters. XDDDD

*snerk* Who knows - that might be the length of my next longest one-shot evarrrr.

:O Dedication!

*checks* Nope, TtW is nowhere close to Hoshi ga Hoshii desu. ;P;; Is is, however, longer than all my other comment fics for Noblesse put together. XDDD

I think I'd give up on a "oneshot" and divide it into a few parts if they ever got to 10k. Unless they're for exchanges. XD; Ah, but if I don't finish something, I might never return to them! *flails* I guess that's why pushing on with a oneshot is good... XD;

Nah, I just wanted to have some way to distinguish drabbles, oneshots, and longer fics with a click. :3 Felt so disorganized!

Weeeell, it took me a year to write that fic! But it only took you... a week? To write Travel the World. =P Haha, what, it's longer than all your other Noblesse comment fics put together? XD Way to blow them out of the water. =P

I...don't think I would have been able to do that with Travel the world. D: There aren't any definite places that would be a good place to stop. Well, okay, there are, but the parts/chapters would be equal length! *this is important to me* XDDDD;;;

I think that's part of the reason why I've stopped writing multi-parts, unless I've already pretty much finished them by the time I start posting - I won't finish them otherwise! *stares at Trail* I want to get back to youuuu but you just halted for no apparent reason!

Two weeks...? @____@ Haaaa, 7k in two weeks. I wouldn't believe I could do that last year (apart from in November. asldkfj 23k in two weeks! But that was all unedited so...)

XDD

True... you'd have to already be in a multi-chapter mindset to have logical stopping points for the chapters. I was tempted to divide Magical up into 3 chapters or so (I did have logical stopping points) though later scenes were somewhat shorter. Not all of the scenes were of equal length. :3 I had a hard time dividing my NaNo from last year into logical chapters! XD;; It wasn't like each of the POVs were of the same length... though maybe I should have just divided them that way regardless of how long the POVs were...

Ahhhh, Trail! It has been set aside for some time, but not that long. :3

I'm curious what your final word count for this year will be. Must be quite a number. XD

*still hasn't read my NaNo in book format orz*

The last time I touched Trail was in...*checks* April. O_____o;; Really? I didn't think it'd been that long.

Haaaahaha. Uh, just checked, and I've currently posted some 80k+ this year. This isn't counting what I've posted this month, or springkink. lkjflakj

I haven't actually read mine. XD; I did read the extra scene I wrote for the book format and was relieved it made sense to me after the reread given it was a scene that I added in after the fact. It was the biggest change I made to the story. XD It involved Rykatu actually going out and meeting the kids who got injured by the dragon (since before he kind of just left Veline very hastily, and the ending didn't make much sense since there wasn't much foreshadowing...). :3;;

80k! That's almost your NaNo length. :3 (oh, but part of your NaNo is also included in the word count?)

XDDD Oh yeah, Rykatu should have seen the kids that were hurt...

"80k! That's almost your NaNo length. :3 (oh, but part of your NaNo is also included in the word count?)"
*snickers* Yep. I ended 2010 with 75k written, and then finished it with 96k, so...21k is Searching. o_____o;; So, that's about 55k of fanfics, since I had all those Extras as well. And I still have NaNo and Yuletide to go through... omg. Last year, I'd written 45k of fanfic. alskjflsd SO MUCH WRITING THIS YEAR.

They were obviously not very important to the non-existent plot since I didn't even write about them, haha... but it was illogical not to have them appear. XD; I tried to think about how I could throw some hints about the "ending" so it wouldn't come out of nowhere, so that's sort of the purpose the new scene (and some extra paragraphs here and there) serve. :3;; I'm still amazed I managed to write such a long story that barely went anywhere. XD;;

55k of fanfic!! It's only September too. And like you said, NaNo and Yuletide are still lurking around the corner! More writing! \o/ I noticed that you now have "100" stories posted on ffnet. :3 I'm almost breaking the 50 mark. XD; (This is after 10 years of fanfic writing...)

It did go places though! We met Rykatu and Tekatme, and Ikatchi and Kitkatsune! And there was all the stuff in the background with the dragons, and actually seeing Valine, and the feast with Ikatchi and Rykatu!

XDD;;; If I didn't make the 'Collection of [fandom]' stories, I'd have something like 140. omg. And I haven't posted everything I've written either! There's fics on esp_dragon that aren't on ff.net and vice versa. But a lot of these fics are pretty tiny~

Maybe I can just consider it... character driven. XDDD;; I still need to name the elven lands! XD

140, oh man. XD;;
