... I wanna try my hand at NaNaWriMo. Dunno, just felt an urge to, especially after reading some of this site. Still haven't read all of it, I think. XD Sooo much there.

But I have a liiiittle problem of not having anything to write though. The longest thing that I've got planned at the moment is Reset, but that'll be, at the very, very most, ( Read more... )

Ooo, you should sign up if you feel up to it. :D I know someone who finished last year and, as a reward, got one copy of her novel printed. It would be so cool to see something of mine actually printed (even if it's just one copy for myself). I hope they do the printing thing again this year...but since you write in your notebook first and type later...it might be hard since it'll take you double the time. But it's worth trying. :3 There's no penalty!

I tried Nano twice and failed both times though. XD; I have characters, but they don't have interesting stories behind them, at least not something that translates well to text. >___> They're so...manga influenced. And my writing speed has hit an all time low. Now it's taking me over 4 years to write a 30k fic. *sigh*

But if a vicious plunny bites you, you should have no problem writing? :D

XD I am now signed up. And tinkering with the profile stuff.

XD I know I couldn't bear to read what I'd written after November - not until it'd been dyed red with ink; you've seen how long it takes me to edit after I've finished. But eeeee, getting printed sounds amazing!

D: Aww. But you'd been busy with uni stuff quite a bit of the time.

I think the Through New Eyes plotbunny is biting me now. *eyes it warily* It wants to be written before I've planned anything, and that's not going to work. I've been wanting to write it every single time I say something about it, or see the title in passing when I'm updating my fic-list, and now that it's getting attention... *snerk*

This, though, is worrying me a little bit: Start from scratch. None of your own previously written prose can be included in your NaNoWriMo draft (though outlines, character sketches, and research are all fine, as are citations from other people's works). The first chapter of Through New Eyes has already been written. =/ But I could just write, and not include ( ... )

I think my account is probably already purged since I didn't participate last year...at least there's no lucathia. I don't think I joined with a different name. XD;

Oh hey look, FAQs say you can have someone verify if you did 50k off the computer. Counting must be hard though.

I really hope they do the printing thing again this year. *___* Since I don't have a permanent job yet, maybe I can finally do it this year. XDD But I'm so unmotivated now. I think I was more motivated to write when I was busy with other stuff, haha.

Planning and notes are okay right? :3 I guess you'd just have to leave out the first chapter in the word count.

Go plunny go~! It needs to grow larger! |D

... :DD Oh yey~!

XD I doubt think I'd be counting word by word (it'd take up too much time!) but I know that my words per page varies between 150 to 220. I've worked it out that, in the very least, I'd need 230 pages in my regular notebook to write the 50k. The nice thing is, it's a 200 page notebook anyway. XD My outline and character bios will be at the start also.

The power of procrastination is all powerful. XDD

:) Yeah, planning and notes are okay beforehand.

XD Eeeee! Yes it does! ♥~! The current plot is too linear at the moment (and too understanding), so I need to create some conflict somehow. :3 Hopefully I can buy the notebook today and start scribbling and crossing out stuff.
