The words I got from lucathia_rykatu was obsessions, 1/2 Prince, Scotland, uni, writing.
1. Obsessions
XDD Yeah, was totally not surprised to find this on the list. I'm, um, very, not sure what the word would be, but I guess once something has my attention and it's something I like, I just have to know as much as I can about it. I hyper-focus on it - until something else grabs my attention. But while I'm hyper-focusing, I'll be reading as much around as I can about it, the wiki articles, fanfiction, the tvtrope articles, fanfiction, rewatching/rereading the original source, fanfiction. XD My favourites used to get so looong because I'd save any fanfiction that looked interesting and then I'd move onto another fandom, so my favourites started to get filled up by that fandom and then I'd move on to another fandom...
I just get very gleeful at finding new stuff, especially character-exploring fics, because idunno, I just don't seem to get/see enough of certain characters and I wanna know moooore about them. (There's also times when I get into a fandom through fanfics first, and then I'm surprised by how little personality of a character that I liked is seen. This happens quite a bit with games)
If I get properly obsessed (which, I can only think of Storm Hawks and 1/2 Prince at the moment) I seem to remember quite a bit about them without needing to check the original source (though I'll do it anyway, because I want to double-check and yey! I'm just reading it/watching it again, and what's wrong with that? XDD)
Once I've been obsessed about something and moved onto another fandom, I can still get obsessed about the old fandom again (just so long as it still updates in one way or another, I guess).
;____; I haven't been obsessing for a while, because of uni.
2. 1/2 Prince
XD I wonder if this is because of my default icon? But this is one of my last 'recent' obsessions - and - and ooooo... Half Prince Revolutions are also translating another novel by Yu Wo... And they're onto the third 1/2 Prince novel. ;_____; I'm sooooo behind. They're nearly halfway through the novels.
I just love and freakin' adore this series. It's made me laugh so much and so hard with the characters just being themselves and all the misinterpretations that's happened because of one thing or another. I didn't mention that I had a small update kicking about in my brain for Upgrade did I? It's sucky though... Even though most of the characters are starting to work it out now.
And there's so many people's brains that I wanna pick at. Sunshine's, and Kenshin's, because damn, I wanna figure out how they figured out that they were NPCs, and they have a tendency to be left on their own for a while. What do they think of players? The people who programmed them? Gui's, because of the spoiler at the end of... volume two? Where he embraces that he actually does really care for/love Prince, and all the implications (or lack of) that comes with that. (And if I knew how to properly write those kind of things would be nice. .____.) What does Lolidragon think of everything's that's happened, especially since she's a hidden GM? How does Wolf feel about getting married to Yulian?
... Aaaand here comes the plotbunnies. Doll and Yulian haven't burrowed into my head yet. Though there's that comment that... Fairsky? makes just after the tournament, where she asks who Doll is after Doll says she knows what it's like to have a lot of money.
... Damn, there has to be gold farmers in Second Life, right? *mini-plotbunny*
The Hakulea in +C Sword and Cornett really look like Wicked to me. XDD I'd been trying to figure out why they all looked so familiar for a couple of chapters.
3. Scotland
I don't think I talk about this a lot. Apart from when I'm complaining about the weather (or going, omgsnow!)
4. Uni
-____-;; This though, I've been talking about far far too much. I like whining about it here. ;P Too bad it's eating at my free time (just spent seven hours at uni yesterday, and I'm most probably going to be doing that again, if not longer, today. *grumble grumble* Stupid honours project). I wanna wriiiite. I wanna obseeeess about stuff! I wanna catch up on 1/2 Priiince! I wanna talk about fandom! DD: Just three more months.
It's really bad that it hasn't quite connected with me yet that we're in 2010. We're at the tail end of the second month of the year, and it doesn't feel like we're in a new year, because I'm measuring time in teaching weeks and deadlines, and the only time I check the date is when I'm putting the date for lectures and tutorials. X_____X I have no idea what I'm gonna do when I finally get out of uni. Probably not realise for a week, and just keep waking up early. (woke up at five this morning, same for yesterday -____-)
It's been fun though, making friends, developing out of my shyness/quietness and being more... Well, this could be part of the reason why I read so much when I get obsessed, because we have to search so much information when writing essays. And I think my story writing's gotten better because of it too. :) It'll be... uh, interesting to go switch back from academic writing to story writing that. XD It could be a little stiff to begin with.
5. Writing
Realy want to do this more. Most of my spare time I have is taken up by... sleeping. *headdesk* The rest of it is eating and travelling time. (omg, someone's been waiting for me to beta-read something from December. *wince*)
As you've just seen, I've got a couple of plotbunnies. ;P
I still haven't posted the next chapter of Fullmetal Ninja. Just because I was wanting to go reply to all the reviews for it first and fix the 'alright/all right' thing but... Yeah. I still haven't typed up the Hand x Red/ SIGN crossover either. *headdesk*
So much stuff I want to write, so little brain space and attention span to do it.
