Patterns - Jewels&Gems

(EDIT 6th April:  Image pack added)

This is my first ever pattern set. Call them textures, patterns, stamps, whatever you wish. The file is a *.pat file for use in Adobe Photoshop with the pattern stamp tool, but if you require an image pack to use in other programs, leave me a comment.

(NB - file was made in CS2, but is compatible in lower versions. PS7 for sure.)

-- Patterns - Jewelled

This .pat file contains 39 pattern stamps made from close ups of various gems and jewels.

Each pattern is 100x100px repeating unit. Therefore in a 100x100 document, the pattern will only fit in once. In a 200x200 document, the pattern will fit in four times. And so on.

Below is an example of how these pattern stamps can be used to give variety and depth to your work. You can stamp with a 100x100 square brush. Alternatively, should you apply a pattern stamp with a texture brush, this adds even more depth to your original texture layer. You can also stamp with a border brush. Go on, have a go!

Additional tip: try experimenting with blending modes as well as brushes when using these stamps.

Icon samples
I've used these stamps as texture layers with different blending modes in the following icons. By the naked eye you can't really see the layer/s in question. But trust me, without them the icons would look different! (i think I'll post the with/without versions when I get back to my own computer for comparison)

(Icons are also shareable. Enjoy!)
