As promised - finally, a One Tree Hill Layout. I have to give a *big* thanks to slayer_buffy66 for spending her Saturday combing the net for amazing pictures for this and three other layouts also in the works. She found me a ton of OTH pictures, thinking that I would only use 2 or 3 at most... but I had to use as many as I could, just to show gratitude! So, out

hey, im using you layout concept (and i will credit once im completely fisinished with it, of course) but i was wondering how to get my friends view to be the same?

I can answer this for your layout, just take the overide codes already there and copy them and change the lastin to friends. So you would take all of the LASTIN_HEAD copy all of those overides and change the LASTIN to FRIENDS. So in the end you would have two overides for each section, a FRIENDS and a LASTIN. Does this make sense??

Yea that was always my first question when I first started out having the more complex layouts. People I think will start getting it soon enough, hopefully....

LOL. See, if I try and duplicate the codes for each of the different views, then it'll get too big for people to edit and the chances of mesing something up are higher! So, this way is really my only option...

yeah, would i put it all in the overrides section? (its not a paid account so i cant do styles) and last question, if u could answer it... is there a way to keep the header and side images fixed while the entries scroll? i dont think so since its not a paid account but i thought id still ask..

Yep, you'd have two copies of the code in the overrides, just with different heads (LASTN or FRIENDS). And I think I can make the header fixed, but not the side images... give me one sec..

It can be done but I'm personally not sure if there's an easy to do it without having to re-write the codes. The way I know involves redoing the codes, unfortunately!

You do put it all within the overides section, and I cant answer that about the header, Im sorry I know just a little about overides, you can try asking at everything_lj, they can ususally answer yuor question pretty quickly. :)

By following the instructions I posted... the one where you duplicate the code but change all the LASTN to FRIENDS is probably the one you haven't done.
