Some of you already know about what I'm about to post here, but for those of you who don't........
My mother, Arlene, passed away this morning at 7:15am after a very hard struggle with a blood infection that sent her into septic shock Sunday.
My mother was a fighter. She always had been. She fought it, fought it with everything she had and then some. Even when her kidneys were shutting down and her blood pressure dropped to below 60, she still fought. She fought until she couldn't fight anymore, and with our blessing, she let go. Her heart stopped naturally while I was on the way to the hopital with the intention of ending her suffering. By the time the morning hours came, my mom was gone. Only her body was being kept alive. She didn't want that. I didn't want that for her, but God took that decision out of my hands, and I am thankful for that.
The Funeral will be at Lakeview Funeral Home on Thursday morning. The address is 1458 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL. 60657. The wake starts at 8:30am. The service is at 11:30am. We begin the procession to Memory Gardens at 12pm.
To those that have already passed on their condolocences, thank you very much.
