Summary: After years of being in love with Ohno, Nino decides the confession day has finally come. But not everything is as pink as the love letter he gives him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After countless tormenting years, it had to be that day. Ohno was already 30 years old and he had no idea his band mate has been madly in love with him since the day they met. Nino was feeling pathetic to let his stupid pride get in the way everyday and postpone the damn confession forever. But finally, after endless nights full of brainstorming, he found the perfect weapon: a love letter! Written carefully on a perfumed paper that morning, with a few heart drabbles here and there ( even though his pride was literally slaughtered while drawing them, with no chances of fast recovery ), the small piece of paper was now hidden in Nino’s shaking hand, while the man was silently sneaking into his own dressing room. The letter contained a love confession and an invitation to a date on the following Saturday.
Once inside, Nino took a deep breath. Everything seemed so easy earlier when he was making the plan, but now that he was actually doing it, his heart was pounding powerfully. However, there was no turning back; he was determined. Checking the hallway to make sure nobody was coming and breathing deeply once again, he flew to the corner where Arashi’s clothes were scattered, searched hastily for Ohno’s jacket, and shoved the tiny paper inside a pocket. One second after, he was sitting on a sofa in the other side of the room. Nothing else mattered. HE DID IT.
He was a bit embarrassed to confess through a love letter ( and especially such an awkward one like he wrote ), but despite his huge pride, he had to admit he had absolutely no courage when meeting Leader’s eyes.
A few minutes later, the rest of the members started to arrive. Nino’s eyes were literally beaming with desperation while following Ohno around the room, but luckily everyone was too busy to notice. Each of the old man’s steps was echoing in his ears like drumbeats. When Ohno suddenly picked up his jacket and started looking for his cell phone, Nino’s cheeks color went to red twice as faster than a traffic light. The letter’s whole content started to pass with the speed of light through his brain. All those embarrassing words, the little pink hearts, and the paper, the damn rose scented paper, if only he had used a normal one!
“Please don’t find it now in front of all these people! Please!!”
But as Nino was starting to seriously consider drowning himself with the cup of water in front of him, Ohno finally found his phone and put the jacket back.

The next day Nino arrived first at work, and started rocketing through the room nervously. He was sure Ohno was going to appear surprised and shocked. Was he going to reject him? Was he going to be so disgusted that even their friendship was ruined? Or maybe he had a chance? All these thoughts were making him lose his mind, and the moment Ohno entered the room he felt like the entire earth just cracked open under him.
But Ohno just said a normal “good morning” with his usual dazed look, and sit on his usual couch, starting to read his usual fishing magazine. It took Nino an entire minute to come back to his senses. Did he really read the letter? Unmotivated as Ohno was, maybe he didn't even looked inside his pockets. Panicked, Nino pretended to look for his bag among the pile of clothes, and rapidly checked Ohno’s jacket. The pockets were empty.
“So he did read it….but why is he acting so normal? Maybe he’s pretending and wants to speak to me in private? Or maybe he doesn't care at all?”
Whiter than the wall behind him, Nino sat on the nearest sofa, fixing Ohno with a ghostly look for more than 20 minutes, but the other man didn’t noticed anything, lazily reading his fishing articles. The day ended without any reaction from Ohno, and the week continued in the same way, throwing Nino on the verge of desperation.
❧
Finally, Saturday came, the long awaited meeting day. Nino spent the entire night agonizing, imagining all the possible situations. He was still hoping that Ohno will show up and give a proper explanation for the lack of reaction during the week.
Having slept not even one minute, the young man arrived at the appointed place one hour earlier. He tried hard not to think anymore and just wait for Ohno’s blunt answer, but the waiting was making him panic with every cell in his body. The hour seemed like stretching into an eternity, but when Nino felt he was on the brink of exploding, he finally heard a faint sound behind him and felt two arms hugging him violently. His mind went completely blank. While struggling to recover his functions and turn around, the man holding him broke the silence, shouting like mad and startling the people walking by.
“DIDN’T KNEW YOU HAD SUCH FEELINGS FOR ME NINO-CHAN!!!!” Aiba screamed, hugging Nino even tightly.
Nino thought the apocalypse was happening in that very moment.

5 minutes later, Aiba had dragged him to a near coffee shop and they were sitting at a table, with the scandalized looks of the customers pointed at them, Nino looking like a statue, and Aiba speaking loudly, without even stopping to breathe.
“You really surprised me with that letter! Ne ne! So you loved me for 13 years! And the hearts you drew! Oooh so you’re actually so soft and cute Nino-chan! Neeeeeeee! So today is our first date! I wonder if people kiss from the first date! Do you want me to kiss you? Or maybe we should wait a little longer? You don’t have to be shy!! Oh I know! WE SHOULD HOLD HANDS!!”
Nino didn’t even had enough energy to curse Aiba, himself, or his sad existence. He just threw the hyperactive man an empty, tired look, got up and ran out of the shop as fast as he could.
❧
The rest of the weekend passed like a nightmare. Nino felt his life was broken into little pieces, and Aiba waiting for him with a huge bouquet of flowers next Monday didn’t helped at all. Before Nino could even arrive at work, Aiba efficiently informed the Arashi members and the staff that he was marrying Nino.
Trying to pretend being invisible, Nino was sitting in the darkest corner of the room, while Aiba was enthusiastically wondering which one of them is the bride. He didn't dare look in Ohno’s direction because he felt the older man’s eyes staring at him intensely. He tried hard not have a nervous breakdown by thinking of good ways to kill Aiba slowly and painfully, but in the end everything was in vain. When Aiba started planning the honeymoon and the number of babies they were going to have, Nino couldn’t take it anymore.
“THE LETTER WAS FOR OHNO!”
Everyone inside the room turned to Nino instantly.
“The letter was for him… But I…I mistook his jacket.”
The room was shook by the second wave of shock that day. The only movements that followed were made by Ohno’s jaw, which dropped considerably, and Jun, who was trying to recover his breath after inhaling his cappuccino.
“Aaah…and I even bought him an engagement ring.” said Aiba with a disappointed sigh.
“Oh well” he continued, turning to Sho and handing him the flowers and the little box he was holding. “Ne ne Sho-chan, wanna marry me?”
