Last Week Before Freedom!
It's the last week before winter break! Hurrah! Unfortunately, it's also finals week aka Hell Week. I've already made it past Hell Weekend (last weekend), during which everyone procrastinates and gets all the big semester project things put off until Sunday. I did better than a lot of other people I talked to, though. My only major concern yesterday was getting my physics project done. (Mousetrap car FTW!) I got it done, kind of. It didn't go nearly as far as it was supposed to, and I spent the majority of the physics class doing some last minute improvisation to get it to go at least a bit further. But I think my string was still too short. I'll probably try out some longer string tomorrow and, if that works well, bring it in on Wednesday for a ten point deduction, but the possibility of getting it closer to the desired four metres. Then I also have my math final on Wednesday (pre-calc test of DOOM). and the finals for about all my other classes. I just have to make it through Wednesday, then I'll be mostly good.
In other news, our drama performances are done, after two weekends of shows. Opening night pretty much sucked (we screwed up the order of the entire second act), the next night was a lot better, next Friday was pretty darn good, and closing Saturday was just peachy. Saturday itself, however, was kind of crazy for me. I spent most of the day in a car, going two and a half hours up to my grandma's house to visit for an hour then getting my hair cut and coming back just in time for the performance. I made it through, though. And according to my mom and sister (who saw the play again without me knowing until they came up to me after the show), the play was great. So it worked out.
Oh, and it's been snowing. No snow day yet, though, but I'm not sure about tomorrow. It snowed some more tonight, so you never know. Also, my dad and grandma are both out of the hospital, although my grandma's on oxygen for a little while and my dad is still mostly living in his bedroom. Still an improvement, though. Also, we have a Christmas tree now. No decorations yet, on the tree or anywhere else, and I'm not sure if we have all our Halloween decorations down yet, but we're getting there. The house is a disaster, though, which will suck since we're having people up for Christmas. For now, though, I just have to get through the week. I'm already done with Spanish (took my final tonight), so one down, three or more to go...
