Okay, I'm feeling really amused now. My sister just caught this music thing about the top ten boybands and then they showed the videos counting down...Can you say hilarious? We had much fun laughing and mocking the cheese and the boyband gestures and the soulful looks. We even gave props to the ones who made it work -- like certain members of Five who had the punk thing going on except for one boybander who somehow lost his way and ended up there. They were, surprise, surprise, at number five of the top ten. We then cracked ourselves up laughing when New Kids On The Block came on, and dear god, those are some bright clothing. The dancing...the twist-y, tap-dancing type dancing. The manic arm waving... They were, of course, number two. But what was funny was thinking that these guys were the 80s (I think?) version of Nsync.
And what do you know...just as we were saying that, the number one boyband came on, looking awfully a lot like the music video for Bye, Bye, Bye. Well, it turns out it was! And you know, that was a pretty cool video. We got pretty nostalgic though, since I happened to be Nsync's demographic during their day. What can I say? Those were some catchy songs. And, um, I think Justin Timberlake was kinda hot. But, uh, JC happened to be my favourite. He was just so goofy and adorable. And sometimes incoherent, yes. Hee.
Well, yes. You can say that I happen to like pop music. Only the good, catchy kind though. I find the bad ones irritating beyond belief. Though, music is all subjective. For instance, I even like songs in another language (Japanese, in fact), and while I don't understand a word, I like the voice (mmm, growly voice guy) and the music/melody/beat.
So, in other words, I get addicted easily to music if it has a catchy enough beat and good voices.
pop is fun,
it's funny to me,
nsync i miss you,
i like music
