Very mundane
Oh my god, Opera 10 is out and it is the fast, sleekest browser ever. I am in love. \o/ Loading Gmail is a lot faster now, and most of all, pages with javascript don't die now. Yay. In case it's not obvious, browser of the moment is Opera and will possibly be for a long while. ♥
Work has been up and down and pretty tiring. I took some time off last week for my test and assignment (done and submitted, thank god) and then when I came back there were... issues. It's all over and done with now and I should probably shake it off, but it still there sometimes, which is pretty annoying.
But yes, work has been mostly sorted officially, I think, and now I am on mid-semester break for two weeks (the first work is almost over...) before I get back to a test and many assignments to submit, which I need to start studying for. :( And I should catch up with some of the stuff that I've basically ignored the last couple of weeks because of assignments. I would like to think that I'll take this time to catch up on JE stuff but that... might not happen. Just too much to catch up on... and not enough time. :|
I've also been going back and forth on whether to upgrade to Snow Leopard but have decided to hold off for now because of this. I'm possibly being finicky but, well, base 2 calculations are the correct way, damn it. It's what I've been taught, it's what I've used, and it's the way capacity is supposed to be calculated. So, I probably won't upgrade unless they decide to change the base 10 calcuations to an option that you can turn off/on. Because I'm just that nitpicky.
In other news, I found an interesting site about maintenance for Macs back when I was at a loss as to what to do (I used to run a million maintenance things for Windows and then I kept trying to get used to doing nothing for the Mac...). Now I either leave the Mac on until 3am or manually run the maintenance scripts, and I'll have to make some time to check my hard disks.
