Brandon and I just watched three *tiny* kids beating the crap out of their dog with a stick. This went on for quite some time... long enough for us to go "What's that noise? Is that just a puppy yipping and having fun?", to investigate, and to yell at the kids. After the yelling, an adult finally came out and nonchanantly said "hey, don't hit the dog". He also told us to mind our own business. I'm just saying, people are lovely.
