I Hate Feeling Helpless
A friend of mine from work has been sick for about three weeks, and was hospitalized yesterday. We don't know exactly what's wrong with her, but she does have ill-controlled type 1 diabetes. She also has two young boys to take care of, in addition to having a full-time job and being a full-time student. The hospital to which she was admitted is several towns away (where her parents are), and from what I understand, her kids are out there, too. I've been trying to think of something to do to help her (or her husband and kids), but I don't have a direct way to contact them. I'm feeling very worried and frustrated.
